📖 Introduction: Download photos and videos from the timeline
If you want to download all photos and videos from the timeline quickly and easily, the most optimal way is to use the new Onlime app for Windows and Mac. Here, you can download your entire collection with a single click – stably and quickly, even in large quantities.
Worth knowing:
If you use the new Onlime app, you download everything under Photos with Download all – this is the most optimal solution.
You can still download via the old Onlime app and directly on the Onlime Photos website if you only need smaller amounts.
Download all photos in the new Onlime app
This is useful when you want to download your entire timeline to your computer at once. In the new Onlime app, you download all photos and videos with one click – without unstable browser transfers.
Open the new Onlime app on your computer.
Go to Photos in the menu on the left.
Click the … menu next to the heading Photos.
Select Download all and choose where the files should be saved on your computer.
Tip: If you only want to download photos from a specific day, click the download icon next to the date group in the new Onlime app – e.g., September 15, 2018. You can browse years on the timeline on the right side.
✅ When the transfer is complete, all photos and videos from the timeline will be in the folder you selected on your computer.
Download photos in the old Onlime app
This is useful when you are still using the old Onlime app and want to download timeline photos via Restore in the program.
Download and install Onlime if you haven't already (Download for Win/Mac ↗)
Open Onlime.
Click on Restore.
Click and select Photos.
Click Start transfer and choose where the files should be saved on your computer.
Photos only covers files that have been backed up from the Onlime mobile app or directly transferred via the Onlime timeline on the website. Therefore, check Onlime Sync, Archive, and any other backed-up devices in the program to download all photos and videos.
Download smaller quantities directly from the timeline
This is useful when you only need a few photos or videos and want to download them directly in the browser on the Onlime Photos website ↗.
⚠️ Only download smaller portions in the browser.
Large transfers can stall, and it is not possible to resume the transfer of your selected items. If you need to download a lot, use the new Onlime app instead.
Ensure a stable connection.
Close other programs and websites.
Stay close to the router or use a network cable.
Go to the Onlime Photos timeline at https://cloud.onlime.dk/photo/ ↗
Select smaller portions of photos and videos.
For example, choose a few months at a time or specific date intervals.
Tip: Select multiple items by choosing one photo, holding shift, and selecting an item further down – download a few months at a time this way to avoid large transfers.

The Onlime timeline collects and organizes all photos and videos transferred to Onlime from your devices.
Photos and videos transferred directly to the timeline are technically located in Onlime under Files > Backed up > Photo Timeline Uploads (https://cloud.onlime.dk/web/backup ↗). This is the case if you have:
