What are file versions?

When you make a change to a file that you automatically back up or have placed in Onlime Sync, a new version of the file is created.

Do you save a Word document 5 times, you will be able to recreate all these previous versions of the file. If you save the Word document a 6th time, the oldest version will be deleted and make room for the new version of the file.

You can restore previous versions of your files from Onlime.dk and from the app for Windows and Mac.

Restore from Onlime.dk

  • Locate the desired file

  • Right-click on the file and select Previous Versions

  • You will now see a list of available versions - click on Download next to the version you want to download

Restore to Windows & Mac

  • Click the Restore tab in the menu

  • Navigate to the desired file

  • Right-click on the file and select File Information

  • Click Download next to the version you want to download.
