When you have questions or need help, we often ask you to send screenshots of what you have questions about on your computer or mobile device. It helps us better understand your question or problem.

Here we explain how to take a screenshot on your device.

Windows

iPhone & iPad

Take a screenshot on a Windows PC

The procedure depends on the version of Windows you have

  1. Windows 10: Open the Snip & Sketch program on Windows 10

  2. Click New

  3. Drag and drop the area of ​​the screen you want to take a screenshot of.

  4. Save and attach the screenshot in an email or message to us.

Take a screenshot on Mac

  1. Hold down the cmd + shift + 3 keys simultaneously to record the entire screen.

  2. Hold down the cmd + shift + 4 keys simultaneously to drag and select a specific area on the screen.

  3. The screenshot is now saved to the Desktop. You can attach it in an email or a message to us.

Take screenshot on iOS (iPhone & iPad)

  1. The procedure depends on the device you have:

    1. iPhone / iPad without the round home button below the screen: Press the lock and volume buttons simultaneously

    2. iPhone / iPad with the round home button below the screen: Press the lock and home buttons simultaneously

  2. The screenshot appears temporarily in the bottom left corner. Tap on it to edit or share directly

  3. The screenshot is automatically saved on the device in the Photos app. Find the screenshot, and you can share the screenshot with us:

    1. Tap the screenshot, then tap the share icon

    2. Choose how you want to share it - for example, tap the Mail app icon, where the screenshot is now attached to a new draft email that you can send to us.

Take a screenshot on Android

  1. Open the screen you want to take a picture of

  2. The procedure depends on your phone:

    1. Press the power button and the volume-down button simultaneously

    2. If that does not work, press and hold the power key for a few seconds. Then tap Screenshot.

    3. If none of these methods work, go to the phone manufacturer's support website for assistance.

  3. Open the Photos app on your phone

  4. Touch Collection

    1. To share a screenshot, tap Share
